Frequently asked questions

Another question? Ask it in the message of your request: we answer everything.

How many people can the chalet accommodate?

Twelve, not one more: three bedrooms with a double bed and a dormitory with six single beds. Everyone has a proper bed; nobody sleeps on the sofa.

Is the chalet suitable for two families?

That's exactly what it was designed for. Each couple has its own room, the children share the dormitory, and the three bathrooms avoid the morning rush. The laundry room takes care of the rest during a week-long stay.

How does booking work?

Choose your dates and send a request. We reply within 48 hours with a detailed quote, then we confirm the booking together, in writing.

Do I need snow equipment for the car?

Yes. In the Hautes-Alpes, French mountain law requires winter tyres, or snow chains or snow socks in the boot, from 1 November to 31 March. The road up to Puy-Saint-Vincent is a mountain road: come prepared.

Can I come by train?

Yes: L'Argentière-les-Écrins station is about fifteen minutes from the chalet, on the Paris – Briançon line, served notably by the night train from Paris-Austerlitz.

Where can we store skis and gear?

In the basement: a boot room designed for skis, boots and wet clothes. You come in wearing ski gear and go up in slippers.
